So after driving the '03 Eclipse yesterday I decided to take a trip to the Nissan dealer and compare. No way in hell would I buy an Eclipse over a Spec V. What a nice ride. Much stiffer suspension, better rubber, seats, shifter, brakes, visibility, etc. About the same power as long as you're in the power band too. Oh did I mention five grand cheaper?

What the hell is Mitsu thinking? I guess they just build chick cars now.

Oh yeah, one more thing, LSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSDLSD. :ylsuper

hehe, like I said. 3rd gen eclipse = beached whale. Or better yet, a Nowegan Whaling Vessle.

They also don't have the night Rockford-Fosgate sound system that comes with the Spec-V either :P Spec-V is sooooo much better

LOL I wont comment cause its pretty obvious where I stand.I looked at 4 cars when I was looking for my last car.1) Nissan 2002 SE-R Spec V2) VW jetta 1.8t/Vr63) Acura RSX4) Subaru WRX The car I sold was a 1996 VW jetta 2.0 which I had some 18" rims on and was about to pull out the moter fave it rebuilt and replaced.(I also was very close to having an 1.8t turbo kit fitted in)but that was going to cost me some mucho denaro! So instead I sold it and used the cash to buy a new car. :) My wwife and myself had just got her 2002 Altima 3.5se and it is nothing short of bad ***!(thanks to her new job) so a Nissan was naturaly in the line up.After driving all those cars I had eliminated the RSX #1 because it only had 2 doors and # 2 because it was a bit pricy for what you get.(a bad habbit Honda/Acura has) .The 1.8t and Vr6 Jetta's were.... well... VW's.I didnt have any problems out of my last Jetta except the lack of good aftermarket parts. Not to mention the good German car mechanics are hard to come by also. The AWD WRX turbo was really awesome and very fun to drive, but after many conversations with GSZ and WRX owners I soon realized that the T\turbo AWD setup was going to require alot of matiance. The fact that this car has to be my daily driver and im going to have to put between 600 abd 100 miles on it per week made me rule those out.So Im at the Nissan dealer agian and after a test drive I knew the Spec V was the car for me!I ordered a silver one and then waited about a week for it to get in!As its been said before... "the rest is history" :D

I drove an SE-R spec V a couple weeks ago... I almost didn't want to get back in my 240sx. We were looking for a 4-door for my ex-girl, and we both LOVED it... for different reasons obviously. If I needed a 4-door I would trade in my 240 for a spec V in a heartbeat!!!

i've never ridden in one, but from watchin the way Torry drove his spec v, and the way his car would just leave mine in the dust, i would LOVE to have a spec v :)

Quote »i've never ridden in one[/quote] Well remind me at the next meet and maby you can ride in one of the many that will be there.:evilhaha In fact i'd kinda like to ride in Cory's or Dustin's(Their Spec-V's have diff suspension wheel tire combos) to see what it feels like.I want coil-overs BAD,but I dont know if I can it being too rough of a ride. :spank

I test drove the SpecV twice, about 4 or 5 months ago, and I really, really liked it. If I had a steady job at the time, I would have bought it, put the 5500 in my savings as a down payment, but I told the guy that I needed to make sure I had a steady payment and I'd be back in a couple months....... then I drove an SR20 240SX.... and I forgot about the SpecV. I already had the 240 that I bought almost 2 years ago to do an SR20 swap, so I decided to throw my money at my 240. Oh yeah, 4 months later, I still don't have a steady job, so I still wouldn't have a Spec V, lol.

Hehe, well maybe if you had a bad-boy S13 you wouldn't have a problem keeping up Ben! :D
