'03 Sentra SE-R Spec V rattle and milage problems

So I just sold my '96 240 and bought a used 03 SE-R Spec V, it has 58000. Everything seems good, except under a medium exceleration it seems to suck down gas. I have about a 1/4 tank left and I havent broken the 200 mile mark. I would drive my 240 a lot harder and I still would get abour 280 miles on a tank. Any idea what could be causing this? Also there is a loud rattle when driving... is that a loose hear shield? Any suggestions?

also does anyone know where I can find a diagram on how to take apart the front dash so i can take out the stereo?

The SE-R is only going to get around 21mpg in the city. On the highway you get close to 30mpg. Can't really say what the rattling sound is, does it occur when driving only?
