My sentra was driving fine , no mechanical problems at all except for a slipping clutch every now and then if I constantly race through gears. Then while accelerating there was a slight knock that appeared only when you accelerate or the rpm's go above 2K, its comming from the center of the motor in the front of the block. From research I know it isnt the gas I use because thats always premium. And been doing synthetic mobile one for the past 3 years. Looks to be maybe a loose rod or pistion or something to that effect. Im the find it and fix it guy but taking the motor apart with no experience, prob wouldnt be the best course of action, so im open to suggestions, ideas, what have you..

Does it only knock once? Like you get on it and you hear *knock* or does it go up and down with the RPMs?
