'03 Pathfinder SE, Transfer Case Fluid

Just got done changing trans and transfer case fluids. I purchased the vehicle 3 months ago and finally got around to it. Trans fluid appeared in good condition, transfer case fluid another story. It looked like a 10 year old 6 pack of Guinness came out. No idea if factory fluid looks like this or not. There's been a mild vibration since day 1 that gets worse under heavy acceleration. Anyone have a clue if this could have contributed to it.
