hey guys I just got stuck in the middle of the highway earlier in the morning and just wanted to ask what my problem could be? My vehicle was working fine before I entered a yield on the highway.. Tried to accelerate and it wouldnt respond all I got was my rpms jumping and lights flickering. Pulled over onto the shoulder and tried starting my car.. Had a rough idle at 500 and if I try to put the car in drive it just stalls. Lurking around I saw that it could be a maf, throttle body sensor, iacv, or coolant temp sensor. The car was fine before this happening. Just got the vehicle recently in the last 10k kms.. Bought at 180 and just rolled over to 190. Have no clue what the previous owner did for maintenance but it wasn't very good.. Had to fix many things in this car already. Thanks in advance for the input!! Ps. Had to get my car towed because it absolutely would not stay alive with how much throttle i put

Which lights were flickering? Can you pull any engine trouble codes?

I would guess either the maf or IACV.
Start by unplugging the maf and see if it will idle.
You can also unplug the IACV and see what happens. With it unplugged, you should be able to maintain a steady idle while holding the gas pedal down a little.

just for good measure - because I've had similar issues with idle and changed my IACV - check your ATF levels and make sure it's healthy fluid at that.
