03 pathfinder occasionally stuck in park?

I'm new to this forum and I'm trying to find an answer before I spend a couple hundred bucks..my 03 pathfinder 4wd occasionaly gets stuck in park and u will be sitting there jiggling the shift knob and hitting the brake for five minutes and it usually works...but tonight I actually had to use the shift lock button manually to get it out of park...now I do hear the clicking from the solenoid when I hit the brake...so what would be y'alls recommendation to try first? The brake switch or the shift lock solenoid? Thank you!
