I think you need to decide on whether you want a manual or auto.Cause the 03 would be a bad choice if you want a manual and the 04 would be equally as bad if you want an auto.. However, I think an auto in an 03 is better than a manual in an 03, but you might want to use the search button to see what some folks say about the 03 manual transmission.Sorry I wasn't much hellp....but, it's been said before, buy the newest, lowest mileage, best condition G you can afford to buy.

ok.

buying a used car. rule#1 Buy a newest possible with the lowest possible mileage.

The money they ask for the car is vary a lot by States. Your best bet if somebody pops in from your state or do an excessive search thru the internet around your area.

Most of the time you can negotiate the asking price. It certainly depends from the sale they have or had before you walk in. Like last month/week/weekend sale. zozoka

I'll sell you my '04 Manual You'd just have to come get it. Even cheaper, but with mods, warranty, and a new engine.

Please don't let it trash your day!!!I have heard that the 03 manual transmission isn't as strong as the 04 or 05.I'm sure that if you take care of yours, it will be fine.

The same is true with the 96-97 Mustang Cobra. They strengthen it in 98.I have owned both. Bought them both used. I checked them out good before buying them. My 96 Cobra transmission has 82K miles and shifts just fine!

I would check with a few Infiniti dealers to see if they have extended the warranty on the 03 manual trannys.

Ford did this on the 95 V6 mustang head gaskets. I think they upped it to 100k miles.

So, definitely worth checking.

You might want to also use the SEARCH button.

Or, you could start another thread about 03 Manual Trannys and what recourse is there if it goes bad.

As far as price, I have no idea.

Ok, so i'm new to the forum but have been following it for a couple of weeks now because i'm in the market for a G35 sedan. So you guys are killing me when several G owners are trying to sell their cars!! So just wondering why??? Any insight would be a great help. From what I have read and seen it is a great car but i'm hung up on spending almost 40k for any car and wondering what the reasons are for you guys selling them.Ray

I have two and love them both......still lust for a coupe, but the sedan's made sense at the time. Wifie said for me to get a coupe, I would need to part with my cobra. Does make sense, but still don't like it.

Are you looking for a 07 or 06?? I recently drove a 07 and there is a big difference in the feel. Make sure you drive both before deciding!!!

Don't let it bother you...we are selling for various reasons...My reason is I'm getting my wife's 07 Acura MDX and she's getting the 08 Suburban LTZ...I bought my G35 with almost no miles and it only has 7K now...so it just makes sense to sell it while it is practically new and keep the Acura (and we have three kids so moving car seats around is easier in SUVs)...

Here's my new ride![IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

Well I feel a little better. I'm looking at getting an 07 xsedan w/ premium package. Nav if the deal is right. I currently have an 01 passat that I absolutely HATE!!! Can list off a mouthful (or typeful???) of problems that I have had with it. Anyway, my wifes car is paid off in Dec and it's my turn for a new ride. I have a 3 and 4 year old so wife said I can have any car for under 40k as long as it has four doors. My other toy is a convertible 65 impala, had two until today. Sold the project to clear out some space and get some cash for new paint, disc brakes, etc.... Kinda dif stuff from this board. When I talk about air bags it's related to suspension parts!!

I love the G style. The looks and performance are killer. The other cars on the block were the 3 series, decided against it because i'm tired of dealing with over engineered german pieces of ....... The subaru legacy spec b, the Lexus is350 and the Acura TL. All signs point to the G The Lexus is tempting though.

Anyone think incentive's will be offered or if paying close to invoice is possible?? Everything I have read is that $500 to $1000 over invoice is about as good as it gets on the sedans.

I would say rebates should be rolling out soon to help the dealers who have excessive remaining '07 sedans get them off the lots...'08 sedans won't have rebates for quite a while...I would shoot for $500 over invoice less any rebates and hope it will fly. Infiniti is funny because they never seem to be as easy to deal with (in my opinion of our dealership)...We have purchased an '06 Toyota Sienna, an '06 Nissan Titan, and an '07 Acura MDX all brand new within the last two years...All of them wheeled and dealed and we were very pleased and it was EASY...I almost bought a brand new Infiniti but they were very "full" of themselves and it rubbed me the wrong way, so I bought used and I don't regret it. If I ever decide to buy new with Infiniti it will be from Seattle instead of Portland, just because of the bad taste in my mouth...and it would have to be if they were offering rebates. Good luck and here's a pic of your Impala to keep you thinking straight.
