I have an 03 Nissan 350z with 102k miles on it. I checked the codes and I have a knock sensor code that popped up so I know I have to replace that but im not sure if thats whats causing the car to stall after starting it up when the engine is hot. However, when the car is cold it starts normally and idles normally however, after driving it and the car gets hot, once I turn off the car and start it back up while it is hot, the car revs up and continues to die down and stalls. When I press on the gas a little bit in this situation it goes to a normal idle and drives perfectly. has anybody got this type of problem and knows how to solve it? much help is appreciated.

Hey elvee18. As a matter of fact I have that same issue. I also have an 03 350z and i have the exact same problem. I spoke to the guys at my local parts store and they told me that its my idle sensor thats somewhere around the throttle body. Its been about 2 weeks since i've talked to them so i would advise goin to your own parts store to get exact details but i can say that they did recommend getting some throttle body cleaner and just pulling it all apart and and cleaning it real good. I havent had the opportunity to do this myself because ive been too busy lately but it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot. I hope this info helps you out and let me know if it works out for you.

sooo your saying it could be the idle sensor? I will check mine out and see about that and as for the cleaning the throttle body I will do that asap just when im not busy with school and such but I will surely let you know if it works for me. And please let me know if you fix your problem and how you did it as well? thanks!

sure thing. I'm off on thursday so I might try to take care of it then. But like i said im recalling something from a couple weeks ago and so you should go to your local auto zone or something like that to get the major details about it.
