03 Murano - Bose 6 CD Player Smoking Then Dead

Last week while I was driving and listening to the CD, all of sudden I saw smoke comming out of CD player and then it stopped playing. All the other functionality on the dash board works gr8.

Its not under warrenty, so is there cheaper repair or replacement solution avialable for this problem.
