The wife was so in love with the 2010 accords that she went and purchased.... very nice car. I have only drove it home from the dealer.... She refuses to let me drive... I mean I could if I wanted to, but she always has it. Well the only reason I want to drive is to open it up and see if the accord is more powerful and quicker then my Maxima. I love my Maxima and will NEVER get rid of it. Had it since it was new. So my question is which car do you guys think is faster?

Welcome to NICO.

Given the age of your car and power-to-weight ratio, 255 HP/3224 pounds, vs. Accord's 270 HP/3204 pounds, the latter is faster. Peak power and torque are also not far apart in RPM.

Unless it's a 4-banger Accord, in which case it is terminally underpowered. What little torque there is shows up far too late to matter. EPA numbers reflect this, too, with the overworked four clocking just 2mpg better than the far better-suited 6.

The current generation of Accord is not a bad car, but it's definitely a poor followup to its 1990s predecessors. It has none of their trim athleticness and none of the charm. It's just big and weird looking with some well-refined engine options.

I would say if your 03 is a six speed HLSD and the wife's honduh has a slushbox (automatic), the max will eat it every time. Power to weight ratios be damned. Now if they're both auto....the honduh might show you its tails. Either way, Im kinda interested.....does the accord feel fast. Like, what does your butt dyno tell you?

Sorry if this is an old thread, Im new lol.
