the air stored in the airbox gives the engine a better response in the low-end but loses out when trying to suck in air on the top-end.fiveliterbeater wrote:i noticed on my max that when i took out the factory "ram air" all my low end was gone but then when i re-attached it, it was back.
theres really no reason to take out the cat. only if you're running a massive amount of hp and the oe cat is very restricting (replace with hi-flow cat perhaps) and its a track car. keep it on and to avoid spending more to pass smog checks.036mtmax wrote:sounds about right to me.It's not really that loud at all it sounds kind of like a 350 z or a g.screams pretty good on top but no more low.I kind of liked the way it was zippy down low before.
You can't have everything..036mtmax wrote:i did the same with the air snorkel, i just put it back on it it seemed a little better down low but miss the grunt.
