Hey,I have an '03 m45 with 60,000 miles. This morning when i stepped on the gas with vdc on or off, the car felt like its quickly switching into second gear, than downshifting back into first, and it feels like it lost a lot of pull. Does anyone know what this it? on a side note i dont know if this has anything to do with it but last saturday night when i got into the car in a rush turned it on and popped it into drive the rpm dropped to the point where the engine was about to stall for about 10 seconds or so. I got the car a month ago do you think a transmission flush would help? or resetting the ecu? im lost any help would be appreciated.thanx guys

I would start by disconnecting the battery for a while.

You are letting the ATF warm up [10 minutes in cold] before agressively driving the vehicle correct?

Visiting the dealer every 90 days for a documented oil change is good advice before the 70k drive train warranty expires........get them used to you so they can help you.

Do you have records for the 30k and 60k services?

In response to the warranty period. Did Infinity up the warranty period? I was under the assumption that is was 4yr- 60,000.

scheduled an appointment with infinity. You think they would be quick to replace the transmission if it was messed up, or is that like a last resort type of deal for them?

If it is indeed bad, then they should/will replace under warranty. If they choose not to replace this time, you should consider pushing for it, although if they don't, and it fails soon, then you have a case for saying that you did bring it in during the warranty.

Again, I'd strongly recommend to everyone to do a transmission flush every 30k miles to get longevity out of it. This is something that is never mentioned in any owner's manual, but has proven to be a good thing to do for any car.
