Hello,Good to see another Y34 owner out there. I have owned mine for 3 1/2 years and the only thing needing replacement has been a TPMS sensor. I have really enjoyed it and hope you do the same.Is yours equipped with the Technology Package? It seems, with 2003's, very few had it. Strangely, most 2004's seemed to.

You seem well on your way to having your entire car replaced. Could not have hurt being a Technician for getting a long block. Very well played as you have a darn near new car. How has consumption been on your new engine?Cheers,ML

Thank you. I don't have the tech package which I don't mind LOL. I have no consumption issue at all now with the new long block.I got real lucky when I bought the car, only paid 10k. Best of luck with yours also. Being a infiniti tech feel free to ask me if you have any problems I can help with,

Wow. With the new interior, you really do have close to a new car. Gotta ask, how did you pull off an entire interior replacement? I managed to get my steering wheel and shift knob replaced due to fading/cracking. Sadly, I paid almost 3 times the price for mine. Awesome purchase.Cheers,ML

Hello,Well, Rhode Island is only 2000 miles or so from SW Florida. I too have the Infiniti Elite Warranty and I think I might need to switch dealers. Again, well played. Have you replaced the shocks/struts yet? That would seem to be the only thing left. My 2004 just hit 50k and I am about to replace them.Cheers,ML

Yes... another Y34 on the set. Very nice! I like your HID fogs. I'm also a little jealous of you and your monster warranty. Which 8k low beam did you go with and can you provide a source? I would like to go up one step from the OEM 4300k.... maybe 6000k if the price is right

Mike,

Thanks.... and please keep me posted on those bulbs. Hit me @ [email protected] on any info you get.

Also, take a look at Jason's ride in the url below. I think he has the espeliar springs on stagged 20's. These springs may be out there somewhere, but my eibachs are a thing of the past. I got them back in December 2005 right after I got the car I believe. You'll see a set of the eibachs for sale on ebay every now and then, but the asking price is kinda high. Glad to have you on the team and we will be asking questions since you are in the infiniti tech.... plus, you own the same car.

Nice... thanks for the email. Your best bet would be to sign up on photbucket.com and host the pics there and then you can copy the url onto the forum.

the tag will look like this:"http://i625.photobucket.com/albums/tt33 ... er21-1.jpg"

Welcome to the Y34 club. Very well played on the warranty work. $10K is a steal for a Y34. I really want to find out how this guy got a 130K warranty.

I had one wheel bearing replaced about a month ago because it had a very loud rubbing sound. Ever since they replaced the whell bearing and the outer tie rods, my car shakes a little when cruising at 60mph, like I need an alignment bad, even though they said the did an alignment.

I need to push for all 4 bearings and the struts. I've only got about 10K left on my elite warranty and want to get everything replaced before then.

JBILLION have them check for excessive play on Inner Tie Rods. i replaced both of mine. I think the 11yr 130K elite warranty was a special we did in 03 when he bought the car. we dont offer anything like that now. The guy was like 70 years old so i dont know if he knew how rare the car was,

cakedaddy your bulbs should be in my hands hopefully thursday

Hey Mike nice look M45 Welcome to Nico.

I like the avatar shot inside the shop. Sounds like you've all but built yourself a new car.

My wife is from Cranston and I grew up in Fall River. I was going to try to get a job at Inskip but instead moved the hell out of there.

03-04 M45's WITH OUT HID'S IN FOG LIGHTS Find blue fog light relay behind fuse panel thats behind drivers kick panel, cut ORANGE/BLACK wire. Piggy back ORANGE /BLACK wire from harness side ( not relay side to any ignition only fuse in the fuse block. *fog light switch will not longer work and fogs will turn on with ignition switch and any position of the headlight switch.

FOR 03-04 M45 WITH HID BULBS IN FOGS Do all the same thing as above but on pass side cut the ORANGE/BLACK wire from the fog light harness and run a whole new wire to the WHITE/GREEN wireof the IGNITION RELAY thats in the engine bay. If your standing in front of the car and remove relay it will be the slot thats by itself on the left side looking at it( so basically lower left slot) of ignition relay. REASON FOR RUNNING THAT FOG TO ITS OWN POWER SOURCE IS BECAUSE THERE NORMALLY SPLICED TOGETHER AND THE LEFT FOG BALLAST WILL TAKE UP ALL THE POWER TO LIGHT THE BULB THE RIGHT SIDE WILL NOT LIGHT UP.

IF YOU NEED PICTURES PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL TAKE SOME OF THE RELAY AND WIRING

Awesome thank you!!

Wish there was a way to make the switch standalone, but I guess this is an easier way. I am handicapped when it comes to custom wiring anything outside of the engine bay.

oh i tryed lol but because the switch goes through the BCM and the BATTERY SAVER C/U its impossible unless you rewired that whole thing.

Yup, usually the way they do it... Hahaha. New fogs will be OEM LED Driving units that come from the factory wired to an ignition source so I guess it wont hurt having them wired the same.
