03 m45 Navigation upgrade

I have done many searches on the forums and it seems many of you may have version 6.6 of navigation DVD. Is this the most recent that I can use in my car? ANy one have one for sale?

6.6 is the most recent version. I doubt anyone is willing to sell theirs since it's the most recent version. Beware of burnt copies on ebay. They tend to not work as well and freeze the system. You can buy direct from Zenrin for $190.00. They usually slash that price in half a few months before a newer version comes out.

so i went to verify my version that I have in my car. THere was no disc in the reader in the trunk????????!!!!!!!!!! I thought this needed to have a disc for navi to work??? Mine works fine, but there is no disc? How is this possible or did I just misunderstand?

This can't be possible, unless there is a cache of some sort, but as soon as I take my disc out it tells me no disc inserted.

i want to check the version of my nav before i buy a new one. The dilemma is that my car is fine and i just wanted to upgrade the nav if i could find a copy for cheap. I am hesitant to try putting another cd in the reader to see if there is indeed no disc in it now or if it is just jammed or something. I do not want to mess up the nav as it is now if it is just cached. Is anyone positive the DVD needs to be in or not for this to work? DOES ANYONE HAVE A COPY OF 6.6 or close to that version for cheap???
