I read the post where someone used a 300ZX TT LSD differential in the M45 and said it bolted up easily. Then another post said it would not fit.

Does anyone know for sure if it will work or not? What else would need to be changed/modified to make the install work?

Thanks in advance. I'm hoping this will work.

I have access to a R230V from a Z32TT and will look into doing this over the course of the next week.

BTW, there are two different diffs

R200V = Naturally Aspirated Z32 = Final drive gear 4.08R230V = Twin Turbo Z32 = Final drive gear 3.69

I still haven't installed my Tein springs yet so I will probably attempt them both at the same time.

I will let you all know how it comes out.

Check the output flanges and the pilot shaft.

Pretty low ratio compared to OEM!

If you pull this off I will be the next in line to do this. I have R230V from a TT ready to go.

Not correct. Final drive ratio on the 2003 and 2004 is 3.133.

Drive specs are in the sticky at the top of the forum and also in the Service Manual.

Hi all!

Have not given up on the base 350Z upgrade, as it is the R200 differential carrier found on the 2003/04 M45. This differential carrier contains an open differential case, which our 350Z cousins have been upgrading through replacement of a LSD differential case. In essence maintaining the final ratio or altering to suit as it is bolt-on to the ring.

Take care!
