Need some help. The intelligent cruise on the 03 M45 is terrible. I have read the threads on holding the on/off button down for 1.5 seconds to disable the 'intelligent" mode but this does nothing. What am I doing wrong?
Does this only work on certain vehicles? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

With it off hold the on button for a couple seconds the little lines in the display will disappear and a green "cruise" light will light up in the cluster. It should be the same in all 03/04's good luck.

They must of been a change from 03 to 04 because this does not work. Thanks for the reply.

Hello,I have both a 2003 and 2004 owners manual. From what i remember, the ICC disable is the same. I will look for my 2003 manual when I get home and make sure though. When I first purchased my car, the Infiniti dealer gave me the wrong books for the car. Since I live 750 miles from where I purchased it, they let me keep both. However, for weeks, all I had were the 2003 books. ICC is somewhat frustrating in heavy to moderate traffic. I would guess our litigious nature gave Infiniti pause in regards to permissible distances between cars. Even at the closest setting, the following distance feels like football fields. In light traffic, I love it. You might consider calling the local Infiniti dealer and speaking with a Service Writer. Most are quite well versed in this system and it's workarounds.
