not sure about dealer warranty but i wanted to tell you about using the same liquid wax to polish your car on the lense and usually it comes right out. make sure you let it dry a bit before removing. hope that helps

glass lense is easier to break and scratch, not to mention adds more weight than polycarbonate glass. in the near future windows will be replaced by a sandwich of glass and polycarbonate making them lighter and safer.

Since my "first" service visit the lenses have been polished by the dealer under warranty. They won't replace the plastic lens.

Once its polished, it is best to armor, especially the foglights.

http://www.stongard.com uses the thickest 3M vinyl armoring for headlights, fog and parking lamps.

Wait a minute! Isn't that haze behind the lens? I'd love to see before and after pics of un-polished/polished lenses(sp).

In many cases, the haze inside the lens tends to be condensed water vapor. This is considered "normal" unless there is so much water there that it pools a lot in the corner ... there is a TSB on this for the 2003/04 M45, but I do not know if there is one yet for the 2006 M.

I would love to see pictures too, although the 3M polish cost is low enough that it should be easy to try it out!
