ive read 2-3 thread on this and it seems only 1 person says he has done it.

looking for a 3.69 gear ratio with lsd
can be a new or old car, rather new but just want to know what works

basically most ppl say the z32 300zx tt r230 lsd with 3.69 final gear will work and be a direct bolt up in the 03-04 m45.

from pictures all 3 areas where it bolts up look identical to the m45 stock diff, amount of bolts and spacing.

some pole say it won’t others say it will.

i’ve read the g37 lsd will work, the r200v and much more but the drive shaft bolt up location or spacing looks different.

this is what i was thinking of getting:

i know elwesso has a thread on this with ppl saying various different things.

and alexf20c says he has done it only needing a few washers.

biggest thing i notice that don’t know if it matters are the rear studs?

looks like mine has 1 an others have 2

vs the oem m45 pic i found online, and by looking at mine it only has 1 bolt point

The G37s diff will work on the M45 Y51 models with modification. I know it wont work on the 03 platform with the same mods as your differentials have a very different looking input flange. So in addition to the mods on the output flanges or axles needing to be done you also have to mod that up, and even then it might not be a proper fitment for your platform.

I have no idea what will or wont work for you, or if anything is straight bolt up compatible. The only thing I know is you will have to do a lot of modification to even hope the G37s differential will work for you. I know this because I knew the guy who originally did this on his Y51 M45, and I have that same differential in my Y51 M35 now.

thank you very much for your input and info, i also noticed the flanges are all different for the g37 then my y34 unfortunately.

my 2013 370z diff looks completely different also.

i’ve read even more since posting this an am pretty hopeful about the z32 TT diff think it’s like 1991-96 or something.

but to spend 300+shipping to experiment doesn’t sound fun right now lol

also i’m going off the knowledge that the 03-04 m45 diff is the: r200 open diff

is that at least correct?
