EDITED: New Video added on post 10 below!

Hey guys,

I just got my custom exhaust installed this past weekend and I'm loving it! I went with a similar set-up to what nmgoodthing did here zerothread?id=313879 except I went with an Aero Stealth 156 muffler and dual 3.5" tips. It sounds great with almost no drone inside the car when cruising. I'll try and get a video from inside when I'm driving around.

Here's the video (sounds better in person):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8TF1bXm6xE

Here's a few pics (I know, at gas station pics):

The whole set-up was less than $350 installed, so it was definitely worth it to me. Let me know what you think!

Is that like "It rolls great because the tire is almost round"?

Question is, are there before and after timings to justify the droning? Of course, WOT operation is a sometime thing while cruiding RPM is a more common occurence.

Thanks for the complements guys. The exhaust is breaking in a bit and the tone has changed a little. As far as the volume, you can definitely hear the car when accelerating, but once you are up to speed and just cruising it's almost as quiet as the stock system. I'll try to take an inside video in the next few days.

The other thing I forgot to mention in my first post is the weight. My guess is the stock part I removed is in the 50-60 lb range and the new system is probably 25 lbs or less so it's definitely a big weight savings.

I didn't do any before and after acceleration tests, but I don't think it made a big difference. If anything it helped to bring back some of the speed I lost from the new (heavy) wheels. Gas mileage I should know by the end of the week, but only if I can keep my foot off the right most pedal.

Sounds just like mine. :-)

If anything you lost a little low end due to loss of back pressure. When mine is cold the idle will go up in down slightly when slowing down, but at top highway speeds look out she just wants to go since it's breathing better. I went 3 inch from the first resonator back also. It was too aggressive for me from cat back. Good job on the set up and you cant' beat the price. I saved my old exhaust in case I ever sell the car and want to bolt on the stock system.

Sounds pretty sick! I just did baseline dynos last night so I can start doing mods and see what the returns like this are...

Cool! Kyle

Here is a video from inside the car of cruising and acceleration. You can hear that once you are up to speed the sound drops way down. Not the best quality, but you get the idea. Post up your comments, thanks!
