Nice results!

The low temp helped a teensy bit, I think! But you got better results than that effect would say.

Q: how did you disengage the ABS?

Nice time..... could possibly break into the 13's if you had some drag radials

under the hood you will see abs unit in top left corner. it has only one plug thingy so if you pull it out it just disangeges every thing abs, vdc, so you dont need to pull out any fuzes out of fuze box.

Easy.if only this car had lim. slip.it is hard to luanch 3800 lbs car with only one tire.i got 275/35 and 9.5 wide rims in the rear, that helped a lot.

Good Job Caug!

Do you feel better now? I remember awhile back when you were ready to drive your car into the river over you dyno numbers.

Track is where it's at to know the real performance.

I wish I would have known about that ABS deal. That would have helped my launch considerably.

I removed my sapare when I ran, but I still have the chrome wheels and Good Year RSA's. Heavy wheels with crappy tires. I can't wait for new tires.

I always wanned to brake a 100mph in 1/4.

The whole noise the new exhuast makes and what you feel in the seat does some tricks on your mind.

And you can also break some expensive drivetrain components by doing hard launches in a heavy car with very sticky tires. Been there...did that. You need something to "give" in the drivetrain and imho it's best (and cheapest) that it be the tires.

I've broken parts trying to get my stang into the 12's, but that's because i was running it hard damn near everyweekend for 6 months. That whole drag radial thing was more of a thinking out loud comment. I hope no one would put drag radials on the M, especially since it's not an off the line car.

That is impressive! I have not noticed that we do not have a limited slip in our car. Then again traction off of the line has never been an issue for me at 6400ft! What was your dyno at? I think I did 288/288 on a superflow with corrected numbers. Not to bad.

wow! 288/288 is impressive! i would be super happy with those results.yeah i didnt know about the lack of limited slip either. but i got the same 60'' ft as caug with my stock 18'' and old mic mxm4 rubber! maybe droppin some air pressure and heating up that tire might just drop that 60'' ft 1 tenth?

I got like 234rwh 258tq at 5600 ft here in ABQ w/ out corrected numbers.

Not sure what it would have been corrected.

It was hard to get a good dyno run w/ out the electronics controlling shifting rev limiting etc.

Actual elevation is 5314ft but my dyno was in the heights and closer to 5500-5600 ft. My 1/4 mile times were worse, but all naturally aspirated cars were running slow the day I went. Stock Mustang GT's were in the 16's. My corrected 1/4 mile time was 14.6. Next they will be better due to me not knowing what the heck I was doing.

What was your uncorrected number? I know...I know it is slow, but just tell me so I will know if I run well or not when I hit the Pueblo track this summer. I am guessing 15.6?

60ft 2.48

1/4 15.7

91.7 trap

I ran a 15.6 but lost the slip on that run. But I have all the others.

It's about what I expected. Also, my first time at the track. I didn't even know how to stage.

People were very interested in my car though.

I've practiced some launches recently, so in May here when the night time grudge matches start up I'm going to give it another shot.

I'm going to also try disengaging the ABS and the VDC like Caug did.

I know our cars are not race cars but it's still fun. I make sure she's all lubed and new filters etc before I go even if it's not scheduled.

I beat quite a few cars that I didn't think I could beat. Some heavy horsepower ones that just lost traction and but the time they caught up it was too late. Must have been newbies like me.

Another interesting tidbit is that Pass Time will be filming a show the weekend of May 8th in Roswell. They need 200 cars to race. All kinds from bone stock to heavily modified.

Not bad at all! I find many cars underperform...could be the driver also?

15s are good for a daily driver with no mods. You should have taken most bone stock cars there!

I would love to go to that shoot, but it is to far for a newly-wed! haha Good luck on your next runs!KTW
