I have a Infinity I-35 and was doing a spark plug change. I did the 3 plugs in the front and when i got to the back plugs i noticed that the plug closes to the driver had engine oil in the plug well. I was told by a friend that i need to buy a gasket set and replace it... that was my reason for the leak.

The problem i have is that when i call a parts store they dont know what gaskets im talking about. My friend speaks little English so he cannot give me the part name for me to order. He told me the usually come in a set of 2.. Please help!! any input would be very much appricated. thanks you guys in advance!

Sounds like you need new valve cover gaskets.

So this 03' I-35 doesnt have O rings or spark plug gasket or somthing like that? Because when i see images of valve cover gaskets likes these: http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/2003/i ... t_set.html
Im a little confused because its only one spark plug socket that was full of oil. i was thinking that the failure was in the socket itself not the valve gasket... all though i could be wrong. My friend said it should be a set of 6 rings...

Thanks for the input

Ive looked everywhere and it seems that the 03 I35 doesnt have grommets to replace along with the vale gasket kit?? I was told by the dealership if the spark plug tube was leaking i would have to replace the whole valve cover?? Is this true??

Sadly, I think you're right. I know that's the case on the G35, so it would follow on the I35 of the same era. According to the factory service manual - available at www.nicoclub.com/FSM/ - on page EM-45, the covers must be replaced if leaking at the spark plug tube seal. They're available at www.infinitipartsusa.com for about $120 on the right side and $112 on the left side. http://www.infinitipartsusa.com/partloc ... atalogid=0
