New to the site but have used the information found here to my advantage. My 2003 G35 has the SES light on. Been trying to work through potential common triggers to no avail. Based on information gleaned from this site and previous experience with my FX I have completed the following: Oil and filter change, Changed out old autolite plugs to NGK, OEM crank and cam position sensors(all three) Removed and cleaned both side IVT solenoids and checked for continuity, both appear clean and functional, Carefully cleaned MAF with CRC MAF cleaner, conducted a cursory check for vaccuum leaks but not confident i did that very well. its a little dangerous without a smoke machine. So my SES light has yet to respond to any move I have made. The work i have completed to date has greatly improved how it runs with the only exception of idle. it appears to idle within a normal range but sluggish. not to the extent that it will shut off, at least not yet. Vehicle has a brand new throttle body and i have succesfully completed all of the necessary relearns. I have had the codes cleared repeatedly after each move and they continue to return immediatly. they are the same each time P0011 random misfire and all four O2 sensors. im dismissing the O2 to some extent because I cannot imagine all four going out at the same time being common. Question now is what am i missing? what more can i do without taking it to the dealer for diagnosis? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to NICO

From reading your post it appears you have spent quite a bit of time and money trying to get rid of SES light.
I'm an old farht and can only offer you my experience over many years and owning many different vehicles.
As vehicles became computerized it has become more and more difficult to work on.
The Consult lll that the dealers use for diagnostics has a $60k cost of software that will communicate to every computer system within the vehicle. No way can a do it your selfer compete with that.
My advice. Bite the bullet and let the dealer have a look.
If you used any aftermarket parts you may end up having to replace those.

Good luck

I agree with having the dealer take a look. It should be free for them to tell you the codes and/or what they believe the problem to be.

Thanks for the response from you and telcoman. Dealer and free are like oil and water. I am traveling right now but nonetheless I have made an appointment for a diagnosis on wed. at the dealer at a cost of $154. Thanks again for a response.
