I'm considering getting back into an Infiniti after selling my M45 2 years ago. I found a great deal on a G35 but it has 140K miles. It was adult owned (1 owner) and has all maintenance records since new from an Infiniti dealer, so I'm thinking it might not be bad. What do you guys think? Give it a shot and do a PPI? Run away screaming? :) Thanks.

all depends on condition, price, and what you are planning on using it for.
having service records is a plus.
Getting the dealership to contact the previous owner to get them to agree to talk to you is a big plus...

The asking price is $6000, might be some room for negotiation. I'd be using it for my daily driver to replace the Focus. I'm thinking I might be better off spending a few thousand more on one that has considerably less miles, even if it had previous accidents, etc. Thanks for the input so far.

If a dealer checks it out and there is nothing wrong I'd say it is is a good price.
Keep a couple of thousand in the bank for any unforseen surprises.
Last December while considering a 2010 G37 6 speed sedan they only wanted to give me $10k for my G with 100k miles.
I turned it down, put new tires, plugs, belts, cooling system flush and it still runs like new.
That is until the Honda lady opened her drivers door while illegally parked into my right front last Sunday night.
Driving a 2009 Impala rental loaner really makes me appreciate owning a real vehicle.

If everything checks out, I'd say go for it. The G will run to 250,000 miles if you take care of it. I've seen them here hit 200, and on a car thats not that well taken care of. Its crazy how they've devalued. My 04 is only worth 11 grand trade in here. But I wouldn't accept less than 14. Just because mine is unique to 99.8% of G's out there.

yeah $11.5k and the highest was $12.5k on trade in for my 2005 g35x... i was surprised. especially since i knew my g35 ran perfectly and had 73k miles. but 2010 was worth the upgrade... :yesnod
