Car is still running** So I did an auto tranny swap on a buddies car, another 03 just like mine put it back together an boom crank sensor code p0035. Figured it was in the plug or the sensor so I changed them both out. Cleared the code drove about 2 miles an started bucking vdc light an all came on , left off the throttle and pulled over it's idling just fine. As long as you're easy on the throttle it runs perfect 😑.
I've got 12v on the hot wire , ground on the ground and a good reference voltage. Ran a new ground just in case an wired in a new reference wire to the ECM its weird it's like it just looses signal tomorrow afternoon I'll try a new hot wire but I drove it around with a mm hooked to the sensor hot an then again with the emc hot , no voltage drop ran through all the fsm procedures an same story am I missing something? Where exactly does the 12v hot for the sensor tie in at ?

Just a guess, I dunno where the reluctor is on a G, but if it's on the flex plate, did you have it off? On a lot of the older stuff, the flex plate is indexed but it's easy to lose the index pin and not realize it. If the reluctor is mislocated, the engine will run fine but you'll get mystery P0335's.

Flywheel never came off the engine , and I'd guess if it was put on wrong it'd throw timing off as well. It runs great and the engine is smooth as can be going down the highway but if you drop down the pedal it says until you let off of it like it's a fuel pump or something. Idk

I'd be checking pin-fits and wire resistances, then.

That's my thought with the power side of the crank sensor , might be shorting intermittently
