I bought my wife a 03 g35 and the nav didn't work at the dealer then we drove it home and it started working when we played with it. This morning she went out and it didn't work again. Then on her lunch it worked again. Is there a special button or is this something that is a known problem.

I've looked all over for someone else that has had this problem but can't find it so I'm sorry if I'm bringing up an old topic.

Every morning when she goes to work it won't turn on,she will drive all the way to work (20 miles) and still nothing. When she goes out for lunch it will then turn on and work the rest of the day.

To my best guess is that the battery is draining just enough over night that it will start the car in the morning but doesn't have enough power to turn the nav on. I know it sounds funny but that again is my best guess other than a short in the system.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

yes the screen stays black. I went and had a sub and amp installed and they left the doors open for a couple of hours and the nav again wouldn't turn on untill you drove the car for 15 to 20 min. I had the battery checked and they said all was good but it takes me 15 to 20 min to get to the battery shop so I still feel it just isn't holding enough charge to turn the darn thing on.

As for the not turning on I mean the screen stays black I get no trip info or fuel info or nav. Maybe that helps alittle in diagnosing something.
