I have a 03 g35 coupe with the stock bose 6 disc changer. I wanted to keep the stock head unit but add after market subs an amp. Does anybody know how to go about this or have they done this? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

PAC AOEM-NIS1 will do it for you. Plugs in behind the factory stereo and gives you front and rear RCA outputs and a amp-on wire.

This is what I was talking about:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PAC-AOEM-NIS2-I ... %26ps%3D54

The NIS1 was actually for something else. The AOEM-NIS2 has been discontinued by Pac-audio.com it seems. I do not see a listing for a newer model that will work with the G35 so you would have to get one off ebay.

There are others kits out there as well: Metra 70-7551 Amplifier Integration Harness 995-2005 Nissan and Infiniti

If the amp has speaker level inputs you can bypass that all together and use the rear speakers.

Is that the exact one that I need?

I'm getting opposing information. Not having the product listed on the PAC site sux.

http://www.autosoundcentral.com/product_p/aoemnis2.htm
^^^ site says it "Works with the factory Bose and non-Bose systems on 1994-2007 Infiniti vehicles including the Infiniti G35"

Otherwise you would need to get a LOC (Line Out Converter) and tap into the wires going into the Bose amp. If your amp support line-level inputs then you can simply tap into the inputs prior to the Bose amp. As I've never owned that model G I'm not sure which is correct.

I'll reach out to Joe and have him pop in. I know he did this with his coupe.

I had an aftermarket amp/sub in my 2005 G35 coupe...and like Matt said, you don't need a line converter. Instead use a sub amp that can accept line or high-level inputs. Use the rear OEM "subs" as a source. (Splicing will work just fine). Newer amps also don't need a remote turn-on Lead...they sense the signal and turn on automatically. Search the forum for some older posts on the details.
