So im driving casually to a local parts store to pick up oil for an oil change, the next thing i know there is a black cts right on my asss coming out to pass me on the slow lane. As if it were instinct i floor it and get up to speed and keep pace under WOT up to about 120. After slowing down and coming to the stop light... I begin to accelerate smoothly up to about 45mph as i cruise into town... About half a mile down the road my car surges forward and then begins to stumble and miss. Throttle does not respond at all just coasting and sputtering around 1000 rpm. After pulling over, i make an attempt to restart my car... It turns on smooth and idle shoots to 3000 rpm holds steady for 3 seconds then falls to 800 rpm and surges up and down to 1200 rpm. While the car is doing this the brake booster or pedal is super hard while turned on with rough idle. The only thing i noticed right when the car started to go into some sort of limpmode was that... It seemed almost every light on the dash was going off. Skip(tcs) check engine everything appeared to be on like the ecu went haywire or something. I did try scanning for codes, it said connection fail. Cannot communicate with vehicle. So im basically stuck... Havent tried any of the reset procedures... Someone please tell me this a simple fix? Any help is appreciated. Thx.

Would try the reset ECU first.

Then next guess may be a vaccum leak. Or did you recently put in a new air filter or fresh oil on one? Thinking maybe the MAF got oil on it.

if you are still having issues with the reset procedures you can just undo your negative battery terminal and step on the brake 5 times. This will reset the ecu quickly. Some people don't like this because you have to reset your radio presets but that's too easy.

Fixed it a few hrs ago, throttle body stuck due to foreign object getting stuck in the throttle plate

How did something lodge open the TB plate? Nothing large should get past the air filter....

Glad you found the issue though.

OK, that's understandable. AND, a good reason it was acting up :)
