Ok I've got a p1769 h/l/r solenoid code. The solenoid ohms out fine, no problems between solenoid and TCU. It just won't shift into high gear. I'm thinking either pressure switch 6 is bad or the temp sensor but I only ever get 1 code. Sometimes it will shift correctly but for the most part all I can do is about 80 wide open is there any way to check the pressure switch ? Or the temp sensor ? Idk I'm lost and I'm normally pretty good at transmission

It's very unlikely that's an electrical problem, you'd be getting P1767 instead of P1769 if the solenoid coil failed or P1846 if PSC2 (switch 6) was inoperative. P1769 isn't a hard code, it's a performance code that means the TCM is trying to shift but the valving or clutch isn't responding. Most likely you have a sticky/leaky shuttle in the Valve Body or the HLRC clutch is just worn out.

That what I thought too but the h/l/r valve moves freely. I can manually engage the h/l/r solenoid while she's running down the road an shifts perfectly with no slippage. The temp sensors reading correctly. Only thing left is a pressure switch (that can't be changed out because it's the early style valve body) it threw me for a loop because it didn't show a ps code I'm gonna do something stupid and throw a toggle in line of the switch wiring to confirm though

Any old port in a storm. That's weird behavior though, if it shifts manually. You should be getting a P1846 if the TCM tries to shift by itself and it doesn't transmission. I'll be interested to see if the switch does the trick.

I ran a toggle switch to act like pressure switch number 6 and you can leave it in drive and it shifts through all the gears right so I can confirm the pressure suit was bad but I'll have to get ahold another valve body

Hopefully you can get one, a lot of those older Infiniti VB's are getting hard to find. I'll cross my fingers for you.
