Hello all!

I have a question about exhaust: I was thinking of having a custom job done on my exhaust. A straight pipe all the way to the rear muffler, taking out the resonator and the two mid-mufflers. Also, I was thinking of putting a flow-master performance muffler. Because listen to the sound of a broken pipe, from last summer before it was fixed. And I apologize for the crappy video, but it IS the sound that matters.

Oh man I really don't want to have to sign up to hear it. Also you might not want to remove some of those exaust items if you have emissions testing where you live.

Hey nmgoodthing, is it taking you to the register page? Clicking on it should take you straight to the link. I have tried it under (Internet Explorer) and (Mozilla Firefox). And I had no problem pulling it up.

Actually mufflers and resonators have no affect on emissions testing, UNLESS your state has inspections in which you are supposed to have all or most of OEM parts at all times.

caug and nmgoodthing, sorry about the link. I will find a way to put the video in here, because you HAVE to hear it. It sounds just like an old muscle car!(In a tuxedo of course) Which is the best sound ever. Thanks for the patience. Maybe, if all else fails, I will post it on "You Tube".

Sounds like a camaro almost. How does it sound at full throttle with a load on the engine? Thats where the real good sound will be. Sitting in park is just a drone like sound, I think.Cheers

That was great...it almost takes away from the personality of the car though.

The one thing that I would be worried about is the drone inside the car if you took off the resonators. I've done this on past cars and though it sounded great and mean on the outside the inside was very annoying after awhile (BTW...I like my exhasut loud, and the drone was annoying without resonators)

That's exactly how my M45 sounded when I had the resonator break off of the intermediate pipe right under the center console under a hard downshift. It sounded like a 5-liter mustang from the late 80's. The only problem was the interior vibration was so harsh it almost made it unbearable in the car. If you've heard some of the exhaust systems for the F50 M45's, they really provide a stellar sound. I believe most of those systems are cat-back and retain the forward resonator. I would love my car to sound like the latest generation Aston Martin's. If you haven't heard one yet, download last month's edition of Winding Road from eBay and play the video with that Aston. That would be just about perfect.

Barrington, Infiniti, would not touch the car. The damage was not covered,(supposedly) under warranty. So I had to take it to a local shop. And they had to weld some pipes for me. I do agree, that the rumble "inside" the car was a bit much. But, hell it sure sounded nice outside when I drove it around town. The debate for me is: if I give her the sound, then she is no longer a "sleeper" car. Most people guess, it has a 6 in it. They don't realize the real power of it, until, I most gleefully tell them. I love seeing their jaws drop. So, I am thinking, do I want people to know she has power, or not.

P.S. I saw another Black M45 in Rockford. So I think, I no longer have the only one. Damn! (giggle)

The sound in the video you are hearing is a broken pipe. No parts had been replaced at that time.

I've been looking for the same spoiler on the car for the last year. Do you have any Idea where I can find it?
