I have an '03 G35 coupe. Understand the first year has some electrical issues. One day the AUTO ECON air condition kept running and the stereo worked but the display doesn't show the station. Very strange. I reset the ECU by taking off the negative battery cable over-night and luckily the AUTO ECON aircondition works properly and my stereo now works. I've done this a few times over the years BUT now, when I turn it over some times it stalls and the idle bounces around 500 rpms? Somehow I screwed up the idle by resetting the ECU. I'm thinking I might need to bring it in to get it adjusted or have a tune up done, unless someones got any ideas or suggestions? Much appreciated!

how many miles are on your car? have you changed anything?

It sounds like what happens with a vacuum leak OR a dirty throttle body.

Go to the general chat section, look at the sticky threads. There is a method to do idle air volume relearn. You can try that and see if it fixes it.

Or, you can try leaving the battery negative terminal disconnected overnight. That resets most everything.

I have about 130K miles. Haven't changed anything except I already took off the negative battery terminal over-night to reset it since AUTO ECON A/C wouldn't turn off and radio didn't work properly, after I did that then it wouldn't turn over right away. Thanks for the suggestion regarding vacuum leak and throttle body. I'll check in to that

The electrical problems you are having are from the headunit. 2003-2004 headunits had issues.

The idle issue is most likely unrelated and is common with a dirty throttle body.
