So I will be in the market sooner than later hopefully for a 350z. I've been doing alot of research before I buy and I have a few questions. I know about the tire feather issue (that even some of the 04's have), and the tranny issue that is found on mostly 03's. Something with it having to be switched out for an updated 04 tranny. Then there is a clutch issue I've been coming across a few times. Where the 03 clutch is stiffer than the 04's. Can anyone clarify these issues here? Is an 04 a better choice?

The 04 isnt neccessarily a better choice as it will be more money.

All problems on the 03 should be evident if you drive it, as for tranny the warranty will still be in effect (unless <unusually> hi miles) so no worry on the tranny.

Tire feathering, take a good look at the front tires.I know a couple of folks thta bought used '03 and had zero problems of any kind

if your gonna mod the car, just get an 03 with a good (or replaced) tranny, tire feathering just needs a perfect alignment to cure, find someone that still does it without computers
