Anyone have the rear spoiler on the 03-04 M45???

I am debating whether to get one?

Spoilerdepot.com seems to be the best deal to get one shipped and factory paint matched for like $280

But it seems the pics i have seen are small and from a bad angle and opinions on how they look or is there a better one out there

I don't know about you, but my trunk has a hard time popping up as it is. I can't imagine another 40lbs. But, if you are asking us if you should get one; I'll say no. If anything, I'd recommend the spoiler from JP, its more of a lip spoiler and looks more up to date. Those wing spoiler are becoming out date and very 1995ish.

I like this one

I agree with the trunk popping up mechanism getting to be a problem perhaps!

Heck, I don't have the extra weight of a spoiler and already, I need to go to the dealer and have them take a look ... the trunk will not stay up on its own. The gas struts seem to be dead!

Minor issue, yes, but still a pain in terms of time ...

I like the JP lip spoiler me thinks that ****e is HOT!!!Also Jason B seems to have a solution for the trunk opening problem that we all face. Do a simple search for it on this site and you will find a few responses and even better a link to his website. Good Luck

Jason's solution is very nice indeed. although I had some concerns about the trunk opening when I did not want it to open! However, I do not remember if your struts have to be working properly in the first place anyway, or he replaces them with his approach. Check it out for sure!
