02 Spec-V Engine swap question.

Sorry to comment on an old thread but I am looking to buy a sentra spec v body and put a VQ35 in it. I am just wondering what it would cost to put the 3.5 in the spec v? Just trying to plan my budget.

You either need a built QR - it's not the block that's unreliable, it's everything outside of it, but regardless some forged rods and pistons would do you a lot of good, get a low comp setup and a moderately sized turbo and 300whp can be had all day without a new transmission, new mounts, or any of that junk - or your second option is a VQ35 from an Altima or Maxima. I have a nissan sentra se-r spec v 2004 , i got a brand new engine with zero miles because the old one was burning oil, warranty covered it so its ok but i wanted to kno if you knew a pro mechanic that would be able to install a turbo and tune it and what specific turbo kit would be the best for my car. also what mods would be the best for my car in order to get the most power out of my car..

I have an 04 and am looking to do something to take it to the track. would a vq30 or 35 swap be better and how to do it. i am very mechanically inclined. so please be informitive
