I just replaced my 02 sensor and my car has developed a new problem. It runs better(no more backfiring, better gas mileage, no black smoke coming from the exhaust), but when I take it out of gear to coast/brake to a stop the idle dips WAY down and occasionally stalls. Usually it hits about 200 rpms, then goes up to 400, then slowly up to normal. Wtf is up? ANy ideas, lmk, thanks...

how are your vaccum lines? Also what does your car idle at regularly? Standard idle is supposed to be 700 +-50 rpm for MT and 750 +- 50 for AT's. If your idle is way low to begin with, I'd give that a try and adjust the idle screw located on the side of your intake manifold. If the problem persists, I'd guess it's a vaccum leak somewhere. If that's not it, you could check out your injectors (that's what I've got where my engine shakes from injector 1 and or 2 not getting the signal to open up). You could try running some injector cleaner to try to get a possible clog out of the way.

dude, totally search for the answer.

Don't change the idle unless you've checked everything else, many people do that and it doesn't fix the problem.Double check all of your work with hooking up the sensor. Now that the sensor is reading correctly, either your fuel or air isn't getting into the car like it should, think about it logically. Could be many things, clean your throttle body with carb cleaner, clean your MAFS, check your vacuum lines, if it's is S13 check your AIV, i'd even remove it. Your fuel filter could be clogged, or injectors leaking. I'd also Reset your ECU.

Hope that helped.
