02 sensor shorting out

i got the check engine light on my car and then i took it to autozone.they said the the message they got from the OBD-II says "02 circuit malfunction"so i looked under the hood and it looked like oil was dripping down the o2 line and was covering the plug where the 02 sensor plugs to a wire that probably goes to the ecu.

could this cause a short or anything with my car? and would i have to replace the o2 sensor?
