02 sensor problems

ok I posted this in the 240sx tech area.

Long story short

O2 sensor when plugged in causes the car to idle ruff and stall. Car will not keep constant speed it must be excellerating or decellerating. If held at a constant rpm/speed it will sputter and try to stall out as if it isnt getting enough gas or too much.

Bought a new O2 sensor, didnt work.Reset ECU, Didnt work

If I unplug the O2 sensor it runs fine but I think the computer is running in Limp mode and I dont want to hurt the motor.

Help please....

Your old sensor may be dead, but you may have got the wrong kind of )2 sensor for the SR.

I bought the 87 or whatever year it is 300zx Turbo O2 sensor which is what the site said to buy. And it fit only mod I had to do was wire it into the SR O2 Connector.

When I checked out this schematic, it appears to me that the ground and power are switched on the s13 sylvia

I know it is in japanese but the o2 wiring in to the bottom right area and you can see that connector #1 is the power and #3 is ground.

From the info I can see from the other links, this is reversed. I think you may have to test your lines to be sure.

My Wiring was messed up. The Power was in the right spot but the Ground and Signal wires were backwards so I fixed it and it runs great. Thanks for the help
