02 Sensor Plug Question

I just replaced my 02 with a skinny. However I had to swap out the plugs because the new skinny 02 sensor didn't have the right connecting plug.
So I just undid the wires and swapped out for the old plug.

Question: Does it matter how it's wired up? Brown goes to brown. That's obvious, but there was a red and black wire and 2 white wires. I figured it wouldn't matter on the black/red - White/White. Am I correct here?

Sounds fine but get a wiring diagram from the O2 sensor plug manufacture and compare to OEM listed in the service manual:http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/.

Thats what you get for not going OEM...
