Hi guys,
I just purchased an 02 qx4 and I am having the following problems
1. the other day after i parked it the radiator was gurgling and spewing out coolant from the resovoir.
2. Intermintently the abs and 4wd drive lights come afetr driving it for a bit. Even tho the car is not engaged in the 4wd drive.
It drives and sounds normal. What could this be?
this seems to happend after i drive for 15 minutes or so. Please help!

Normally one who is not an expert on a model and year pays an expert to identify the usual $3,000 in defects and wear and tear items that every out of warranty vehicle has. Especially an 8 year old one.Since you failed to supply mileage we can only guess.
To late to do a prebuy so pay the dealership to identify what you bought.
At 8 years I would guess an new oem rad is in order plus the usual mainteance items people skip.
Download the FSM and study the diagnostic proceedure just as any dealer technican would.

sorry about that...
car has 61,500 . I bought it from the origanal owner . Car looks and feels new minus the abs and 4wd light coming on.

Very typical than an owner gets repair quotes that in their mind are expensive and acts dumb to sell the vehicle especially after warranty.
It all starts with an accurate and complete diagnosis by an EXPERT on that model and year. THEN you can post the recommendations and we can offer alternatives if any.
Replacement parts can be secired with a 20% discount but labor is the rub finding an expert that won't do more damage.
