So ive been looking into the rear mount turbo setup...and Im seriously thinking about doing it. Im concerned about how good the stock trans will hold up to the boost. Im also not sure about fuel system upgrades. Im probably gonna purchase an AEM Ems and have a jumper harness built. Anyone with any kind of info on this would be appreciated.

I'd say the main thing you'd wanna do is get a modified valve body for firmer shifts. Otherwise Nissan AT seem to hold up to power reasonably well. Also very important to keep them cool.

My turbo setup held up GREAT for the 18k miles it was on my Y33, just took it off for the winter. Had enough problems when it was raining real hard, not interested in the snow effects...

Ran at 8psi for a good while and trans never slipped. Normally ran 4-5psi on a small turbo.

Getting the piping to the front without having it stick 100 miles under your car is a challenge. Took A LOT of trial and error. I kept all of my PS, AC, etc. also.

You really have to go EMS, but you are going to be doing a custom wiring job for it and coming up with all of your own base/timing maps. AEM makes nothing for our ECU's/USDM VH41. I ran a SAFC; but the ECU liked to auto correct everything due to our wideband o2's, which made for a tough time. Ended up running a FPR to force more fuel in the system. When I tried upgrading to 370cc injectors, my ECU just straight denied them. Ran leaner than ever with them, must have been going into limp mode...

Front cats are a PITA to get off, I ran with mine in but there was a NOTICEABLE difference after 1k miles of boost and the cats starting to plug up. I wouldn't even consider taking them out unless you are ready to pull the motor in case a stud breaks. They are part of the downpipe, not just an unboltable cat. I live in Wisconsin, so mine were looking very shady.

Make sure you run a turbo blanket if you do it, without one it took me a solid amount of time to build enough heat to get the turbo spooling.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
