'02 Q45 transmission software update & new pedal

Five weeks after purchase, am nearing the end of my to-do list on the '02 w. the infamous (but worthy) transmission software update & new accelerator pedal today at my local dealer (Greenville, SC). The service bulletin for the update is ITB01038A; pedal is 18005-AR260. Took 2+ hrs. & $200, but now there is smooth instant response to the pedal, vs. the pre-update accel. reluctance at tip-in. Slow reprogramming via the old technology link on the '02, but it worked. Two thumbs-up for Bradshaw Infiniti service.

I know this is n Old post I'm kinda late but I'm new here so I'm catching up.. I'm all about my 02 q so in readin this I must kno.. did changing the pdeal really improve ur take off. Is pullin harder in your opinion.. cuz I never had a problem with my pedal but I jus seen the eBay listing it's only 30 bucks n I can install that my self. So the big question is it really worth it u feel the difference? And about the software update.. is that dealer only and is that a common thing to do for the 02 Q? I already have a custom exhsat and custom air intake, she flyin already. So any other improvement to help my take off, I'm all for that.. so lemme know
