Don't buy salvage title cars! They are inherently problematic. Trust me, I am a professional auto tech and I see them all the time. Electrical issues galore... :ohno: :nono:

I would buy it for the parts, but not to drive. I have 225,000 on mine and it runs like a champ. but I have owned it since 40,000.

How many miles?

It's difficult to predict the value of a salvaged car. It may also have high oil consumption issue. The engine/transmission may fail prematurely. Other components are also expensive - headlights, air bags, navi (if eqipped), ABS/TCS, suspension, etc.

how much? At that mileage you probably shouldn't have too many problems, but these engines do burn oil pretty often and there are lots of electronics to go wrong. Is there any way to have it checked out by a mechanic?

Price??????????? I would also say if your buying this to sell it, don't do it. Nobody wants a salvage title car. If your going to drive it, then if yoiu can confirm that the engine runs well, all electronics work, might be worth the shot.
