After fixing the autopositioning problem, I'm wondering if someone with access to parts listings can confirm whether the front seat bottom leathers have the same part number for both the driver and passenger?

The vinyl side panel on my driver's seat has noticable wear near the seam with the leather bottom where your pants leg slides over when entering or leaving the vehicle. If the seat bottoms are the same, swapping them would hide the wear next to the center console.

I don't have a exploded parts drawing with numbers but I have the drawings in the FSM. The driver's seat bottom is #13 on page SE-112 and the passenger's is #20 on page SE-114.

Lacking any response form the group, I drove 25 miles to the local stealership. For the record, the passenger and driver seat covers are different. They are the same where they are visible but differ angling around the switches on the side (spacers on the outboard side while smooth on the inboard).

For grins and giggles, replacement parts are available with a list price of $1,556.76 for one side and $1,353.72 for the other. :chuckle:

See what prices InfinitiPartsUSA can offer you. If they prices are to expensive an experience upholster will be your best bet. They probably won't be able to offer an exact match but should be able to get a close match for you.

One thing I've done is to purchase a rear seat back that matches the seat leather at a huge discount compared to new seat bottoms.. I've seen many seat backs in salvage yards in great condition. Tan leather can be a trick to match on a 91 model. I will get a local auto upholster to harvest the leather from the seat back and use it to replace the driver seat bottom.

Or just get them to match fresh new leather, tan isn't that tough, sure it not be 100% but your sitting on it most of the time anyways in a year they will match better wtih some wear and sun. I have had to refresh maroon leather/vinyl in my 84' ZX and you'd be hard pressed to figure out the panels I replaced.
