i was thinking of changing rear shocks as i am at 100,000 miles. i was going to do it even with the huge cost of parts but was told the labour is even a bigger issue.

are these rear shocks really that tough to change?

All Q45 have pretty mush the same rear suspension design. Got air and a lift? Pretty easy then.

Not hard at all, if you're use to working on cars it's pretty straight forward.

Personally I'm old school and don't use air very often so let it be known this can be done no problem with breaker bars and box ends, just a little more work haha.

sounds a little on the high side.

I removed all the back seat for my guy. The struts end right to the inside of the headrests. You remove all that and its 2 houres max

thanks to all. sounds like 4 hrs is totally out of whack. add inn the premium cost of the the shocks and an expensive proposition indeed. time to trade up to a used m35!
