Hello,

I have a 02 Q45 Premium w/Radar Cruise. 85K miles. No aftermarket items installed.

3 days ago, all of a sudden the following items stopped working:

1) Keyless remote (lights flash, dome lights turn on but the locks do not open)
2) all 4 power windows from all 4 doors do not open/close
3) all power locks are not working
4) Door lamp (bottom) is working only for the driver door when the door is opened, not working for any others

I have checked the following:

All fuses in the Engine and both kick panels under the dash (JB01/JB02)
Removed and replugged battery
Removed door lamp bulbs on all 3 non working doors (to rule out a bulb shorting)

Any ideas as to what has failed, Am i dealing with a BCM failure or perhaps a CU?

thanks,
Frank

First thing to check is that a door switch has not shorted out.

I thought of that first, but if it had shorted out the dome/cabin lights would remain on always? Furthermore the door switches on all 4 door are working because as soon as i open any of the door the dome lights turn on and go out when that door is closed.

Looks like the process of elimination tactic you've used is on point. The matter most likely requires replacing some sort of electronic component. You may want to search the internet for some TSB's relating to this problem.

Do you have an extended warranty? Your best bet may end up being to bring your Q45 to a reputable Infiniti dealership that has experience working on the Q45.

Extended warranty has expired. Every visit to dealership tends to be an expensive affair, i will end up taking it in if there is nothing left to rule out.

:welcome: to NICO!

If you don't have a copy of your factory service manual, you can download it at www.nicoclub.com/FSM/

You might also try disconnecting the battery overnight... sometimes electrical gremlins can be "reset" - doesn't work that often, but it's worth a shot.
