Hi guys... i'm normally on the toyota lexus boards but i'm thinking of jumping ship and going for a '02 Q45... but the thing that got me hooked were pictures of the japanese version, Cima.

Anyone know what are the exact differences between the two.The bumpers obviously... have the rear taillights for the '04 Q45 models been revised?

Thanks.

New tail, grille, foglamps, and trunklid for the 05 Q. The Cima has a hood ornament that looks like a fountain or piece of broccoli.

Yes should be, headlights are different (but same shape, internals are different)

The grille's are. And you can sell your USDM one over there for more than you buy one. I got my FGY33 Cima grille for 75, sold my Q45 one for 200, on yahoo! Japan auctions. The lights should be easy to swap, but they may be the same.

The bumpers would only fit with modification. They have a shorter overhang due to different safety regulations, so you would need to alter the bumper supports to make them fit. You can also get the emblems easily, including the piece of broccoli as Jesda puts it. For me though, if you do that, I'd want the engine cover, the steering wheel, and front seat backs (since all will say Infiniti, but your badges will say Nissan) to make it a complete conversion minus the RHD.

HOWEVER, Junction Produce makes kit's for USDM models, so I'd look into that. They also offer suspension and everything else you may want.

Sounds like you have to have money to burn to bother with that kind of a conversion.

one thing i noticed with the JDM Cima that sets the USDM Q45 apart is the chrome side moldings that run around the car... On the Q45, those moldings are the placements of the moldings are not there; only the sides color matched moldings which i assume could be replaced with jdm chrome ones. But the front and rear moldings are lacking on the Q45. Would the placement of those chrome moldings be fitted for only the JDM bumpers and are they a japanese option?

My dad is looking to trade in his E-class for something else. But I'd like him move away from MB's and into something more unique. Over here, MB's are a dime a dozen... as many civics per MB. So a Q45 -> Cima conversion would really set things apart. Plus they look surprisingly good.

Go for the Q45. I think the current Q even beats the current S class Mercedes inside and out.

Be sure to check out my website.

Also, I can pretty much order an Japan accessory, but it gets pricy for importing.

I'm pricing an Impul kit right now for a guy. Very $$$/

The Cima looks hot. Glad your considering Nissan.

It looks like they are recessed into the bumper, so you won't be able to add them to the current setup.
