02 Q45 battery recommendation

The car was sitting in the garage for 5 days and required a jump start. I think the battery is gone. Any battery recommendations for 02 Q45. My indy mechanic has Interstate in stock. Are they good for Q?

Interstate is fine if you get the correct size model as far as cold cranking amps/reserve capacity. I use and highly recommend the CTEK brand of battery chargers/maintainers- plug in whenever car sits for more than a few days in the garage to top off the battery and keep it 100% charged, it is fully automatic and can be left connected indefinitely{great for second cars and infrequently used garage queens and motorcycles/watersports use also}

As mentioned in the battery thread above, Deka/East Penn does indeed make an excellent battery.

Another good prospect for American-made batteries is Trojan, which enjoys a great reputation in the industrial and solar power markets. Unfortunately, Trojan doesn't make automotive batteries per se - You have to buy a "Marine" or "Recreational Vehicle" model and adapt it to fit your car.

In a similar vein, the Lifeline division of Concorde Batteries makes a fine line of deep-cycle AGM batteries which can be adapted for automotive use.

I would caution you that only Deka and Odyssey (whose AGM batteries are also sold as Sears Die Hard Platinum) are the only batteries still made in the USA. Interstate and Optima moved to Mexico earlier this year. My Mexican Red Top lasted 6 weeks whereas my US ones lasted 4 years.

Just got a batter yesterday from walmart 700 CCA for $80 with 3 years free replacement warranty....i mean its a battery there arn't that much difference in them in my opinion as long as they meet or exceed OEM CCA ratings. The battery from Infiniti was $150 if that helps

If you have followed the thread, or did any research on the inet, you will see the current production of Optima batteries are nowhere near the quality of the old original Optima product......everything has changed{downgraded} except the name.

Because I don't recall getting "Pissy" because you posted some ugly and fake looking Halo lights that are an insult to BMW. I got mad because I posted more info on your Halo lights and you got mad at me for doing so.

And There are two things that can happen to OVERPROTECTED kids. They can either lash out and do some crazy things. Or grow up and live in there parents house and depend on there parents for the rest of there life because that's all they know.
