Ha! a**-phalt!BASHMAN wrote:It seems my Q45's back end is lower then normal. When ever I go uo a steep drive way with passengers in the back or costco shopping day the exhaust and bumper touch the assphalt.
Is anyone else having this problem? Seems like my shocks feel okay, not sure what the problem may be...
Thanks in advance for any help.

1. bashman, did you downlaod the FSM and go to the last page of the rear suspenion section and measure the distance that you have????
2. The ONLY time in 229,000 miles that the rear of my o2Q45 dragged the ground was when I had swift lowering springs for 3 months. Even the day before I replaced the springs 10k ago, the car DID NOT drag.
3. always helps to own the car you are talking about.
4. despite the general comment made bt one poster, the flagship car was not designed to drag and they were not too loww from the factory.
5. There is no need to put bags in either.
uintil you get the measurements and post them, there is no solution to your problem. A "look" does not make a car drag with people in the rear seat.
I run a stock suspension and an IMPUL Full Body kit. So the rear exhaust tips hang 2 inches lower than stock. I have probably scraped those rear tips 5-6 times in 5 yrs. and It was more the product of a steep driveway than a tired set of springs.
aMeasure as per instructions
then measure next time your loaded.
you can tell if there is tooo much compression
also how many miles do you have on the car?
Uh,,, the page from the FSM lists a number without tolerances. To me, this either means there is only one acceptable value with no tolerance - or - more likely, the number given is typical and will vary from vehicle to vehicle.mlawre10 wrote:my '02,
i guess my car is within specs.....
Since it’s not effecting my ride quality i believe I’m going not going to worry about it at the moment....i do notice a rattling sound when hitting pot holes but it more or less is coming from the front…my 1st priority is to get my stereo working and maybe after then I will look @ other issues. thanks again for the info guys!!!!!djwarner wrote:Uh,,, the page from the FSM lists a number without tolerances. I wonder what the actual tolerance is on the spring rate. From the FSM it appears more likely the rubber in the upper spring cap has deteriorated
