02 Pathy-P0138-sensor or ECU reprog.?

Hi-great forum! have learned alot! Got the P0138 code-through the sticky above, says Bank1 Sens2. Am i correct in that it is passenger side, post cat? Also, read on here somewhere that my ECU should be reprogrammed, and on another forum i read that the ECU's have an 8yr/80,000 mile warranty-anyone heard of this? The guy who said that also said that the P0138 code may have come up just because my ECU needs to be reprogrammed and NOT because the 02 sensor is bad - sooooo, does anyone know if thats true before i fork out bucks at the Nissan parts desk for an 02 sensor? (they want to charge me 55 bucks for the ECU reprogram, but told me to bring it in after i replaced the sensor) Thanx in advance for any comments/help!!

Yes, look in your manual. The federal warranty for ECU's and Cat Converters is 8 yr 80k mi. if you are under that, your ECU is under warranty

Whoooo!! did you say cats too? damn-had to replace both last year with 70k on the truck-went to a muffler place since i didn't want to get hosed by the dealer-cost me 400 clams-so could i get a reimbursement from nissan or was that just a doof up by me for not checking my warranty manual? (thanx for the reply!)
