One of the license plate bulbs burned out. Screws were very rusted and could not be removed. Ended up breaking the screws and the plastic bulb cover and base. Very frustrating. Is there a way to get the whole unit out and replace it? It looks like I'll need to remove the inside panel on the hatch... Help!!!

Thanks,Dave

Idk about how to install it, but try this website http://www.trademotion.com/par...gid=2

Very good website for finding almost your everyneed. Only place I could find an emblem for my grille.

Stinkin New England Hey!! everything rusts... I got the exact same problem only after trying to drill and tap the rusty screws for 30 mins, i gave up cause I didn't wanna break anything.

i had the same problem, had to take the plastic off the inside of the hatch door, loosen the wiper motor and take off the 4 nuts that hold the thing with the "pathfinder" emblem on it and disconnect the wiring harness. i didnt really HAVE to do that but it made it 100 times easier to do the procedure. once i got it out i had to turn the screw via the threads on the inside with a pair of pliers until it got close to being all the way out, then i tapped it and the screw came out with the plastic thing it threads into. did that again for the other side and then you have access to the lamp. word of advice-replace the screws with stainless ones and do this procedure for the other lamp while you still have easy access to it, this will save you frustration when the 2nd one blows out.

no kidding about new england! my pathy came from massachusetts and the underside looks like it is about 20 years old, not 5.

Why in the world would you buy a vehicle from up here?Everyone I know goes to south carolina or souther (lol) to buy vehicles, during winter we don't need to ask the neighbor for salt, we just grab it off the road!

I think I used an adjustable wrench or something for that one.
