i got a 2002 nissan pathfinder and i need some rear springs. i had replaced the shocks three years ago with some monroe [ the ones sold at strauss auto ]
i was looking at these http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/arb-old-m ... -3858.html
but with a .5 inch lift i dont know if they will make my shocks useless.

can someone post where they bought their replacement springs"? the dealer is charging too much and i cant find a store that has any stock for my car... :wtf2:

What makes you think you need new rear springs?

Mine needs new springs too. My 04 Pathy rear end sags lower than the front. Not but half an inch prob, but I'd like it to be 0.5 higher tahn the front.
There are threads on here that tlk about it, if you search you will find them. A stick on "suspension lifts 101" has choices too.

whenever i put any load it sags to the bottom , whenever i go over a bump it bottoms out , i replaced the shocks even though they were good [ free lifetime replacement ].
im not trying to do a rear lift unless there are no better options

i went AHEAD and ordered these https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/pathfin ... p-723.html

Check the ride height per the FSM.

Old springs get SHORT, not soft (in fact the work hardening may actually increase the rate a bit). Short means the
no-load ride height will also be affected.

I am replacing my rear springs soon too. When you finish, will you tell me if it was difficult to do?

i took these pics less than an hour after install , im assuming it will get lower after about a week. also these new springs looked like the same height as the old ones when i put em side by side . i think these springs just dont compress as easily

Looks like the rear bumper cover remained at its oem height.

Nice home defense collection as well.

Good stuff on the posts towncar - have picked up the following items meself:
-.5 lift rear springs from 4x4 and have yet to install them (guy pulled a number out of nowhere and gave me a 'range' of 400-500 PLUS 120 for pressing in poly split design bushings into my spare lower control arms/panhard rod - already installed uppers and this made a gigantic difference - this he says is due to the COMPLEXITY of the matter!!!!!!!!) Ok so I simply nodded and left.
The rear on yours seems to be no less than 1.5 inches or more higher - I am pretty sure they will settle but that looks pretty cool. I am glad I invested in these as I regularly carry heavy loads and this should do the trick. **ALSO, I had a misaligned rear bumper (which made a 'significant' impact on appearance) and it was caused by my wife......ok it was me, but I have a tight parking spot which requires getting used to..... when we first got it. Went to junkyard and $50 later and a rebar with attachments in hand, I had a perfectly aligned rear bumper cover. Good stuff.

400-500 + 120 just for pressing the bushings? Outrageous. I've had a guy locally do press out the stock bushings for $20-25 per arm. IF they have the right dies, it's no big deal. If they don't, go elsewhere.

I'm in the process of doing poly splits on my '01. I got the stock bushings out of a spare upper arm in about 45 minutes
(the second one took about 10 minutes). I torched out the center metal piece (shoot the flame through the hole so
you don't heat up the arm), cut out as much of the rubber as I could, then cut the outer metal piece with a reciprocating
saw. I cut ALMOST all the way through and could then tap it out with a hammer and a punch.

The poly split pushing can be pushed in by hand.

4x4 parts says use their supplied grease on both the OD and ID of the poly bushing.

You will enjoy the result and handling will dramatically change - I also got the bump stops as mine are completely destroyed - however, with the polys installed on just the uppers, there almost seems to be no use for them. Will post pix when done. And outrageous is right Chuck...... will now have to find someone local in Toronto as there is no time to DIY.

No offense intended, as I want/need to buy these springs as well; as i will bottom out EASILY with even a full tank of gas. But those springs seem like they jack the back end up stupid high.

Please take some pics after they have settled.

Thanks :)
